About Inkyong K. Parrack, MD, RPVI


Inkyong K. Parrack, MD, RPVI, is one of the board-certified vascular surgeons practicing at Sarasota Vascular Specialists in Sarasota, Florida. 

Dr. Parrack graduated from Yale University with Distinction in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. She subsequently attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Parrack had initial interests in basic science research during her medical school career and worked in the Department of Genetics researching congenital heart defects in pediatric populations. During this time, she was inspired by the rapid advancement in techniques in vascular surgery and set her path toward vascular surgery.

Dr. Parrack stayed in New York and completed her general surgery training at the Columbia University Medical Center, College of Physicians & Surgeons, the home of historical surgeons such as Allen O. Whipple and Arthur Voorhees. Subsequently, she took a two-year vascular fellowship at the combined program of Columbia University Medical Center and Weill-Cornell University Medical Center. The combined fellowship allowed for training in cutting-edge investigational devices, including four vessel branched and fenestrated aortic endografts.

Dr. Parrack accepted a position as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, where she also trained young aspiring vascular surgeons. She has mentored medical students as well as premedical students attending the University of South Florida. Throughout her surgical career, she has been involved in numerous novel techniques to treat vascular patients. Throughout, she has maintained a strict standard of care. Her vascular surgery interests include all aspects of medical, open, and endovascular care.

Dr. Parrack is married to Dr. Kevin Parrack (Endocrine Surgery), whom she met during her residency at the Columbia University Medical Center. They have a daughter and are looking forward to expanding their family in Sarasota.
